Final Beetle Workshop of the Year

The LARIMER COUNTY TREE FARMERS would like to remind you that their last Mountain Pine Beetle Workshop and tour of the season is coming up on April 4th.

You only have until the middle of July to find, cut, treat and/or remove beetle infested trees from your forest. For each tree you miss ten to twenty more trees may be infested by this time next year.

The workshop will provide you with information on how to find infested trees before the beetles fly again. It will showcase and demonstrate many of the options that landowners now have to slow the infestation and mitigate the damage that will be done by the larger and more intense wildfires that may result.

  • EQUIPMENT DEMONSTRATIONS
    • Chipping
    • Spraying
    • Debarking
    • Portable saw mills
    • Solar / Diesel treatments
  • BEETLE IDENTIFICATION TIPS
  • SMALL WOOD UTILIZATION
  • BIOMASS HEATING INFORMATION
  • ANDRE ROY, recently featured in the North Forty News and on Channel 9 TV, will be there to discuss his new process that turns forest slash into marketable fertilizer and soap products.
  • Get the latest information on the pine beetle spread throughout the Front Range
  • Tour an infested forest and see the mitigation work being done.
  • Receive a FREE 120 page forest management manual from the Colorado State Tree Farmers.

A few hours of your time spent getting informed now may help you save a great deal of money and heartache in the next few years.

This workshop is FREE
and open to the public.
